Shoot the duck, jump and collect the carrots, and then jump as if you were going to land on the frog. He will launch off and you should be able to shoot him before he comes back. Look out for the water. Scene 2. Shoot the duck straight away. Then jump and land next to the hamster. You can't shoot him until he turns evil, so get close and then run when you see him transform. Shoot him (he won't turn back when you move away) and then safely collect the 3 carrots. Scene 3. There is a more powerful enemy in this scene. Move near to the wooden door and it will smash open, revealing a knight. Shoot him, jumping his long range attacks. Alternately, stand on top of the little grass mound and shoot him from complete safety. Collect the carrots and you're done. Scene 4. This one is all about strategy. My advice is to shoot the 2 lowest ducks before they reach you. You'll need to be fast. The highest duck flies over your head, and you can take care of him safely. Or you could shoot the highest duck first, and jump over the other two when they reach you. The carrots in this scene are easy. Scene 5. The little dog may look innocent but he's basically a walking hamster. Shoot him from a distance (which, unlike the hamster, is possible). Don't let him get close or he'll rip you to pieces. You have to run across the bridge. If you walk, you'll fall when the broken part breaks away. Scene 6. This ones easy. You could shoot the tortoise straight off, considering he's so slow. But why not have a ride on his back first? its fun. You can safely stand on his shell. Remember he's only vunerable to gunfire in the head. His shell is too hard. Woo, a checkpoint! you can feel safe now. Scene 7. My advice here is to run up to the frog, and jump over him before you reach him. He'll fly off along the ground, giving you plently of time to take him out. Jump up to the higher platform but careful not to land too close to the hamster. Make long jumps to reach the carrots in the corner. Scene 8. Shoot the ducks nice and early before they can bother you. Make a running jump when the platform is low to collect the carrot and land on the moving platform. Ride it to the top and jump to collect the high carrot. Then wait until its low again to jump to the end, collecting the last carrot. Scene 9. Take out the puppy first (try jumping over him, just so you can see the animation of him transforming) The hamster is not a problem here either. Scene 10. Jump onto the grassy platform and blast the duck before he reaches you. then drop down below the first carrot. Time your run (remember to double press right) when collecting the carrot. Its a good idea to keep going, and jump clean over the hamster. this will transform him so you can shoot him from safety. Scene 11. Jump onto the grassy platform and take out the duck. Then make a jump onto the little stone platform following the path of the carrots. WARNING! As soon as you land, you'll need to perform another running jump, as it falls under your weight. Jump onto the frog, who will rocket out of the way. Shoot him and leave. Scene 12. "HALFWAY BOSS" //Killer Bee// I've dubbed these mini bosses 'halfway bosses' even though they're more like 3/4 of the way through each level. The Bee will fly towards you, swooping up and down, attempting to sting you with his stinger. Run underneath him when he's high up, or jump over him when he's low. Don't worry, you can only get hurt by touching his lower half, so jumping past his head is safe. Keeping shooting all the time. He will speed up as he takes damage. Don't worry if you get hit once or twice, he hasn't got that much health. Once you've shot him enough, his body will break and his lone head, with attached legs will fall to the ground. This scuttles from left to right, but is not a threat. Shoot it quickly, making jumps when it runs past. No carrots in boss screens, so continue onwards. Scene 13. Start shooting the puppy if you want, but be careful. WARNING! You need the tortoise here. Wait until he gets close, and jump on his back. This way you can reach the higher carrot. Once the carrots are collected and the dog disposed off, you can finish off the tortoise. Try executing it while riding on it! but get ready to jump out the way, his shell is explosive.. By the way, theres always a checkpoint after a boss. Scene 14. Hold back until you see the ducks come out of the farm. Shoot them. Collect the carrots and enter the farm yourself. Easy. Scene 15. "BOSS" //Laser-equipped Cow// As you enter the farm, you'll be greeted by a very large killer cow. She'll come up out of her hole and the battle begins. This is more straightforward than the killer bee. Stand right at the back of the room, and pelt it with your handguns. When you see the eyes sparkle, get ready to jump the laser. She also has a milkbottle attack, which is easy to dodge if you stay calm. Just jump over it. (remember to keep shooting even when you jump) This boss isn't very tough. Continue! Scene 16. "Scene Transition" You can't go wrong here. Collect your brand new firearm and continue to the red door. New level time! >>> Mountains level Scene 17. A new level, a new look. Begin shooting the goat, but when it charges at you, jump clean over it. Stay on your guard as it won't stop charging from left to right until you'vekilled it. Checkpoint! You're doing well. Scene 18. Begin shooting the hedgehog straight away. It will randomly drop ladybird bombs, and you don't want them interrupting your jump. it also speeds up as it takes damage. This is a big jump. Stand right back and make a running jump over it. Make sure to keep 'right' held down the entire way. I don't think its possible to miss the carrots and still make the jump. Scene 19. This one is bloody tricky. (pardon my English). Shoot the bouncing clockwork pineapple. This can be quite a task! remember how the shooting system works, and remember to keep an eye on how close it is to you! Once it snaps in half, you're ready to tackle the platforms. Collecting all 3 carrots and surviving requires ADVANCED technique. The easiest way is to make a running jump, but when you are above the first platform, let go of Right and you will move no further, but drop down onto it. As soon as you land, make another running jump, collect the high carrot and let go of right when you are above the third carrot. You'll drop onto it, and can then quickly make the last hop. Master this 'stop-start' jumping technique and the game will be a lot easier. Scene 20. There are a few ways to do this one. My personal favourite is to hold back for a second, giving the goat a chance to move, and then jump on top of the sign that reads 'Yeti Cave'. You'll be safe from both the goat, and the spitting yak up there. Shoot them both (remembering that shooting directly downwards will only hit the sign and not the yak). Jump up on top of the cave to collect the highest carrot. But go through the cave itself to complete this scene. Scene 21. Its dark in here! Shoot the Armour-clad worm, but get ready to jump as he accelerates towards you. keep shooting and he will break pretty quickly. The platforming section here is hard. Make a jump to the first platform (the lowest one) and collect the carrot. Since the next platform is so close, you won't need a running jump to reach it. Do a walking jump to the left, making sure not to miss the carrot and then another once quickly to the right to get to the end. If you mess up here, and are unable to complete the scene, press 'r' on the keyboard. (thats the scene reset key). Scene 22. Stand at the edge of the platform and shoot the pineapple. Its better to get hit once, then to die trying to avoid it later. Once its snapped, make a running jump to the first platform, and another one straight away to collect the carrots and land on the lower platform. Simple, but might take 1 or 2 attempts. Scene 23. Take care of the hedgehod straight away. You need ladybird-free air for this one. Running jumps are no good here, you'll go too far (unless you've got the hang of the stop-start jump method described in Scene 19) Make walking jumps across the platforms, collecting the carrots. you've got enough time to walk to the end of each platform before jumping to the next one. This isn't very hard really. Get past it and you get a checkpoint. Scene 24. Theres nowhere to hide here! you'll just have to stand in full view of the yak, jumping his spits. I recommend the handguns here, so you can shoot while you jump. Once he's dead, carry on to the rock, which will be lifted revealing the second form of knight. This kind has quite a nasty long range attack, so stand well back, or stand behind him. He can't see you (poor thing). Easy carrots here. Scene 25. Run up the steps and stop at the top. I'm ashamed at you for not working this one out yourself. You need to make the rock at the top of the screen fall to the bottom of the screen, making a platform allowing you to get the carrots and leave. Shoot it a few times. Scene 26. You're much safer on the right side of the screen. Recommended killing order goes Goat Hedgehog Yak. Good luck. Scene 27. Theres nothing you can do if a rock meets you in mid jump. You can actually turn round and go back mid jump! but you have to make sure you don't start 'walking'. You'll need to make 2 trips across the gap to collect all 3 carrots. The collect the higher one, make the jump from on top of the sign. That wasn't so bad was it? Scene 28. "HALFWAY BOSS" //Rock Monster// I'm sorry about his name. This halfway boss isn't hard. Stand on the right side of the screen, and stay standing, until you see him jump, you need to jump (to dodge the shockwave). If you see him take off his own head, watch out, he's going to throw it at you. Jump it once, then stay on the ground. If you're standing when it comes back, it won't hit you. Keep hitting him, lots. Can you figure out who the laughs and moans are that are used for this boss? No? Scene 29. Probably the most painful one of them all. I don't know a flawless method of doing this. See if you can get to the checkpoint nice and quickly. That way, it doesn't matter if you die. Its important to kill the pineapple, since it moves the fastest, I'd say do that first. Then hedgehog, then worm. Scene 30. Time your run past the flames (they won't hit you if they are only little, but you have to time it just right) and collect the carrots. To get the high carrot, stand on the bones. Not hard. Scene 31. Killing goats should be easy by now. Stand on the steps to get a safer position. Run up the steps to leave the cave. Again, not hard. Scene 32. "BOSS" //Yeti// This boss follows a similar pattern to the cow. Stand on the left and shoot to the right. Jump the rocks that he throws and jump the shockwave he makes. This part is made harder by the hedgehog bothering you with his ladybird bombs. Killing him would be a waste of time and ammo, as he will re-spawn almost instantly. Kill him when the yeti has fallen off the cliff, and then climb up the new platforms. Don't worry, they won't fall. Scene 33. "Scene Transition" Be careful not to fall when jumping to your new weapon, and then jump again to the door. >>> Castle Level Scene 35. (don't ask what happened to 34) This scene is easy. There are no enemies. Jump to the carrots, and jump from the suit of armour's heads to get the highest one. Checkpoint! Scene 36. Don't stand too close to the knight, and shoot from a safe distance. Jump onto the suit of armour, and then pull off a running jump (its hard on such a small space I know) to the moose head -which you can also stand on- to get the carrots. Scene 37. Quick! run and jump onto the suit of armour or you'll get hit. Its only possible to dodge all of this kind of knights attacks if you time the jump perfectly, so its best to stand somewhere safe. Shoot him from on top of the suit of armour and then jump to get the carrots. You can stand on this moose too. Scene 38. You can't destroy these suits of armour, and jumping over them would be no good as you need the carrots. Stand really close and time your run well. Remember to double press or you'll walk right into them. Not so hard if you concentrate. Scene 39. This is an odd one. If you stay where you are, you'll have problems. Also, you can only stand on the suit of armours axe, not his head. Gun shots will also not be able to go through the axe, so you can't hit the flying knight when he goes back behind it. My tactic here is to jump on top of the axe, and shoot the knight and the eyeball from safety. Easy carrots. Scene 40. If you stay still at the start, the knight won't be able to reach you. Stay back and shoot him, then time your run past the attacking suit of armour. Once you have all 3 carrots you can simply fall into the hole in the ground. Don't worry. Scene 41. Stay back and shoot the eyeball first. then attack the knight from a safe distance by hopping up and down to reach him. (the table will block your shots) You can stand on the table but not the bed. Jump from the table to reach the carrot in the spiders web. You won't be hurt. Checkpoint! Scene 42. There is a cheeky knight behind the table of bottles. You can't stand on this table, as it is in the foreground. My advice is to get behind the knight by jumping over him. The carrots suggest a good path. Scene 43. Jump over the knight at the start unless you want a flying kick in the face. Shoot him from behind. Jump onto the coat rack, and then onto the specimen jars to collect those carrots! Scene 44. "HALFWAY BOSS" //Mutant Hand// Its the same old boss formula. Stand at the back and hammer it with bullets of your choosing. This is harder than the rest because its flick attack is so fast. You'll need good reactions to get over the fireball it launches at you. Its bomb attack is more powerful, but easier to avoid. Keep shooting until you see it melt. Scene 45. No enemies here! pass the checkpoint and collect the carrots by standing on the control panel. but you can't walk off this screen like the others. You have to open that big door. Shoot the panel to break it and the doors will open. Walk up to them and you'll be taken to the next scene. Scene 46. Your stuck in an elevator with two spiders. They speed up when shot, so watch out. There is also less room than the usual. Magic tip: Take out one spider after the other. Its a lot better to have 1 fast spider than 2. Once they're dead and the carrots are collected, you can leave. Scene 47. One eyeball on its own. Not a big deal really is it? once he's dead, collect the carrots. The only part of the fire that hurts is the base of the flame, so you can jump over the torches without getting hurt. Once you've cleared the room, blast open that old looking wooden door. Guess where it leads? Scene 48. Don't ignore those lumps on the ground. They are the mark of the zombie hands. Walk near it and it will burst through the soil, trying to grab you. The rules of the game say you have to kill it, so trigger it and turn back to shoot from a distance. Despite having no eyes, these things can see what you're up to, and if you go behind them, they can turn around. Watch out for that. Jump on the large grave to get the highest carrots. Scene 49. More of the same. Jump from the large tomb to get the higher carrots. watch out for the zombie hands, you don't won't to be in between them. Take the first one out, but you'll have to jump or use your grenades to hit the second as the when they turn into trees, they still get hit by bullets. Scene 50. Shoot the Flying Knight quickly, jumping its spikes it shoots at you. Make a clean jump over the flames and get the carrots. 1 zombie hand, no problem. You'll soon thank me for putting in that last checkpoint! Scene 51. "BOSS" //King of Knights// End boss time! This one takes a slightly different turn to the others. Aim your shots (I recommend the grenade launcher) at its head, as its body and hands cannot be hit. Remember you can't hit him when you are behind a gravestone. He has a few attacks. 1: Fist smash The 2 hands move towards you, and when one of them finds you, they both smash downwards towards you. Keep moving and you'll be fine. 2: Spikes The Knight creates a warp over his face from which appear some spikes, which fly to the ground. The best tactic here is to stand behind a gravestone. 3: Side laser His 2 hands are places either side of the screen and a giant beam is shot acros the entire length of the screen. Jump over it. 4: Blaster The Knight creates a mask and and shoots a laser out of it. This cannot be dodged any way. The only way to survive this is to hide behind a gravestone. If a gravestone gets destroyed (after 3 hits they will crumble) hide behind another. The screen scrolls when you walk off the side, revealing more. There are 6 in total, which should be plenty of cover to keep you going. He has a lot of health. Kill him! Congratulations! you completed Nightmare! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ {{{ Enemy Guide }}} >>> Heli-Duck Health: 10 Motion: Moves left and right. I know each shot only does 0.6 damage but each click does 1 shot from each gun (so thats 1.2 damage) and you can rapidly press the left mouse button to get rid of things quickly. But the absolute best thing about this weapon is you can shoot while you're jumping. That makes them the best choice for any difficult battle, where you are in the air half the time. So i recommend you stick with these for now, although you should definately try out the others, to have a look at them. Availible from: Start of game Damage each click: 1.2 Ammo System: unlimited! >>> Shotgun Its powerful, its large, it makes a great sound. it looks nothing like a shotgun! Its classic! every home should have one. This weapon does a lot more damage than the handguns, but is slower and you have to wait for a reload after each shot. They also have limited ammo, which means each shot missed is a shot wasted. Still, its a lot of fun. You can't shoot while jumping though. Availible from: End of first level Damage each click: 5 Ammo System: Collect ammo from defeated enemies, maximum of 99. >>> Grenade launcher When making this game, we though to ourselves: "Whats the natural order of firearms? It has to start with twin pistols, and then go on to the slightly more advanced shotgun. Then what? Its either a machine gun or a grenade launcher." Considering the handguns work as automatic pistols if you click fast enough, we went with the grenades. This gun is very powerful. But the slowest of them all. It also has the great disadvantage of not having instant shot action, and the grenades actually have to TRAVEL through the air to reach their target. This makes hitting fast enemies like pineapples a game in itself. but if you do manage a hit, the enemy won't like it very much. Have fun with this one. Again, no jump shot. Availible from: End of second level Damage each click: 8 Ammo System: Collect grenades from defeated enemies, maximum of 99 >>> Laser Gun I wanted to really reward anyone who completed the game. I thought how other games have done that in the past, and 9 times out of 10 its a new weapon or level. I went for both...sort of. You'll like this weapon a lot. Its more powerful than the grenade launcher, faster than the shotgun, you can shoot while in the air and it bounces of all surfaces so you can perform trick shots! To top it all, it never runs out of ammo! This is designed for fun. The game won't be as challenging with this weapon, but it might be quite amusing. Enjoy! Availible from: Completion of game - play the game again for 'All Weapons Mode' where all 4 weapons are avalible right from the start. Damage each click: 15 Ammo System: unlimited! _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ {{{ Duck Hunter }}} >>> Tips Since the ducks appear randomly, theres not much I can help you with. Shoot the lower ducks before the higher ducks. Try to stay on the right side of the screen as all ducks are moving left when they appear. Keep still and then plan your moves carefully, good luck!
